Become a truth warrior
Would you like to know how things really truly work? Make the most sensible choices and be impossible to fool?
Learn to master the heaviest scientific weapons against misinformation – from Cold War vaccines to human compassion. Become impossible to manipulate and sharp at finding the truth.
Misinformation now makes up as much as 20% of our daily news diet. It spreads faster than truth and threatens everything from personal hygiene to world peace.
Drawing on brain research, media, and manipulation strategies, we take a closer look at our brain’s fascination with the seductive misinformation, our skewed sense of truth, and how, surprisingly, we best fight misinformation with misinformation.
Sharpen your senses for war against misinformation, while also getting answers to questions such as: Do people with a bad sense of humor know they have a bad sense of humor? What did Emperor Augustus have in common with walking sticks? And why isn’t it all just the fault of social media?
From deception to positive change
Add a workshop to the talk and deepen your new knowledge through group work with a range of cases and exercises. There is plenty of room for immersion, inspiration, collaboration, creativity, humour, and a focus on positive change.
